Plater/Welder - 17 week contract - 60 hours per week + training
£14.50 Ltd or £12.86 Paye for Days
£16.50 Ltd or £13.74 Paye for Nights
This well established engineering company that provide a bespoke solution for each individual client. The business has continued to thrive thanks to hard work and a proven track record of successful delivery of projects on time and to budget. As a result they have won a large package of work with a well known blue chip company.
What the role will involve:
1. Replacing mild steel sections of a large drum with 6mm stainless steel.
2. Using plasma cutters to cut out existing sections and to create new sections from stainless steel.
3. Using MIG welding to attach the new sections in place.
4. You will be working in a small team of 5 or 6 sometimes in pairs, sometimes on your own.
What the company are looking for in the contractor:
1. We are looking for good timed served plater welders with experience with MIG welding.
2. Ideally you will have a good track record and have worked within a heavy industry - cement works/power stations/boiler or heat exchanger manufacturers would be ideal.
3. This role is going to be working within a 7m diameter drum - so you will need to have a decent level of physical fitness.
4. You will also be working in a confined space - so do not apply if this is something you are not prepared to do.
